Drive To App is an Android app made by Vorento (“we”). It runs small web
apps (“micro-apps”: HTML pages and the files they use) that you keep in your own Google
Drive or Dropbox. This policy explains what the app accesses, what it does with it, and the choices you
have.
In short
- In Google Drive, Drive To App sees only the files you pick. In Dropbox, it sees only its
own folder, Apps/Drive To App. It never sees the rest of your Drive or Dropbox.
- Your files go between your phone and your Google Drive or Dropbox, and nowhere else. We
run no servers and never receive your files or your account details.
- There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and we sell nothing about you.
1. What Drive To App accesses
Drive To App works with the cloud drives you connect: Google Drive, Dropbox, or both.
- Your Google account name (its email address), so the app can ask Google for access
to your files on that account. It stays on your phone.
- The Google Drive files you pick. When you connect Google Drive or tap Add, Google
shows its own file picker. Drive To App gets access only to the files you select there, using
Google's
drive.file permission. It cannot see, list or open any other file in
your Drive.
- Your Dropbox account's email address, if you connect Dropbox, so you can see which
account is connected. It stays on your phone.
- The files in Drive To App's Dropbox folder. When you connect Dropbox, Dropbox
creates a folder for the app, Apps/Drive To App, and Drive To App can open only the files
in it. It cannot see, list or open anything else in your Dropbox.
- Information about those files: their name, type, size, the time they were last
changed and the folder they are in, so the app can show them and know when a newer version
is available.
Drive To App does not access your contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos or other apps, and
it does not collect device identifiers. The only Android permission it uses is internet
access.
2. How Drive To App uses it
- To list the micro-apps you picked and show them on the app's home screen.
- To download them to your phone and run them, including when you are offline.
- To check for newer versions you have saved to Drive.
- To save a micro-app's data back to your drive. A micro-app can save text to one of its own
data files (for example a
.json or .csv file kept with it).
Drive To App writes that text into the same file in your Google Drive or Dropbox. It never
deletes, moves or shares your files, and never changes a file outside what it can access
as described above.
We use this information only to provide these features. We do not use it for advertising, and
we do not use it to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
3. Where your data is kept
- On your phone, in Drive To App's private storage: your account names, the access
permissions Google and Dropbox issue to the app, the list of your micro-apps, your settings (such as the
order of your apps) and copies of the micro-apps' files. Each micro-app's own saved data
(browser storage) is kept on the phone, separate from every other micro-app.
- In your Google Drive or Dropbox, where your files already are.
- In Android's backup, if you have device backup turned on: Android may back up the
list of your micro-apps and your settings to your Google account, as it does for most apps.
Your Google and Dropbox sign-ins for Drive To App are excluded from that backup.
Data travels only between your phone and Google or Dropbox, over encrypted connections
(HTTPS).
4. Sharing
We do not receive, store, sell, rent or share your data. Drive To App has no Vorento server, and it
contains no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting software. Your files and accounts are
handled by Google under the Google Privacy Policy and by Dropbox under the Dropbox Privacy
Policy.
5. Google API Services User Data Policy
Drive To App's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will
adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited
Use requirements.
6. Micro-apps you run
Micro-apps are web pages that you, or people you got them from, wrote. Drive To App runs each one
on your phone in its own sandbox: a micro-app cannot read your Drive or Dropbox, your other micro-apps or
their data, and can only save to its own data files as described above. Like any web page,
however, a micro-app can load content from websites or send information you type into it to a
website. What a micro-app does is up to whoever made it, and is not covered by this policy. Only
add micro-apps you trust.
7. Your choices and deleting your data
- Remove a micro-app in Drive To App to delete its copy from your phone. The file stays
in your Google Drive or Dropbox.
- Disconnect Google Drive or Dropbox in Drive To App to sign the app out on your phone
and delete the micro-apps it downloaded from that drive. Disconnecting Dropbox also ends
the app's access on Dropbox's side.
- Withdraw Drive To App's access at any time: for Google at myaccount.google.com/connections, for Dropbox at dropbox.com/account/connected_apps.
- Uninstall Drive To App to delete everything it stored on your phone.
Your files are yours and stay in your Google Drive or Dropbox whatever you do in Drive To App. Since
we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to delete on our side; if you have questions,
contact us.
8. Children
Drive To App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from
them.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date
above.
